Absolute contraindications
- Cardiac pathologies (arrhythmia, long QT, history of myocardial infarction).
- Severe psychiatric pathologies (psychosis, schizophrenia, prior psychotic episode).
- Severe hepatic or renal insufficiency.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Treatments interacting with indole alkaloids (specialist medical advice mandatory).
Mandatory documents
- Recent medical certificate (less than 1 month old) certifying the absence of cardiac and psychiatric contraindication. ECG recommended.
- Pre-initiation questionnaire completed, signed and dated. Any false declaration is a danger.
- Passport photo and copy of ID.
During the stay
The Ebando team includes 7 trained officiants, a nganga, a maboundi and Tatayo. A first aid kit is available. Ceremonies are organized in Akanda, near Libreville and its medical infrastructure.
